Michelle Zaharik
Sr. Clinical Strategist
Michelle Zaharik, Ph.D. is an accomplished Research and Development professional with 15+ years of experience in in vitro diagnostic devices. Her areas of expertise include IVD design and development as well as the generation of clinical and regulatory strategies for global commercialization of point of care and self-tests.
Michelle obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of British Columbia where she specialized in host-pathogen interactions and completed her post-doctoral training at the UBC CDC in partnership with Sanofi Pasteur on Chlamydial rational vaccine design. This has been translated to experience in device development for various targets including cardiac and infectious disease biomarkers, and experience across multiple platforms ranging from central laboratory tests and LDTs to point of care and self-tests.
Michelle is excited to be working with the terrific team at CovarsaDx, where she is involved in the strategic and efficient design of clinical study plans and clinical protocol development.
